Meet Our Team
Allison
AJ’s Founder and Director Allison, opened AJ’s Hair Designs in 2001. She is a fully qualified Hairdresser and Barber at Level 3 as well as holding assessing and teaching qualifications. Allison is also Level 2 and 3 qualified in Beauty Therapy. Allison loves to create intricate bridal hairstyles and is always developing her skills through the L’Oreal and Wella Training Academy’s in London among other short courses. Outside the Salon, Allison loves to spend her time with her family, travelling and gardening.
Charley
Senior Stylist Charley is qualified at Level 3 in Ladies Hairdressing having started her Hairdressing career at AJ’s Hair Designs as an apprentice in 2016. Charley attended Partners 4 Training, Hair and Beauty Training Academy; where she developed a real passion for cutting and styling hair. On top of her Level 3 Qualification, Charley has attended several colour specialist sessions at the L’Oreal Academy, London. Outside of the salon Charley loves days out with her friends and family, especially shopping trips!
Maizy
Maizy started her hairdressing career at AJs Hair Designs in 2017 as a Saturday girl aged 15. Maizy has worked her way up to senior stylist. She is now qualified at Level 2 and Level 3 in advanced and creative hairdressing, at Partners 4 Training, Hair and Beauty Training Academy. she is working hard to build her clientelle and loves cutting and styling hair and staying up to date with the newest hair trends, she has also developed a flair for colour work. In her own time, Maizy enjoys staying active at the gym and going out with her friends and family.
Ellie-Mae
Ellie-Mae started her Hairdressing Apprenticeship in September 2024 she is looking forward to progressing through her course and training once a week at Partners 4 Training Academy. Ellie-Mae has already developed an eye for practical styling and is ambitious to develop her skills. Outside of the salon, Ellie-mae loves to stay active by competing with her football team and spending time with her family.
About Us
AJ`s Hair Designs Hairdressers in Eastbourne was founded in 2001 by Allison Faires, who is a qualified NVQ level 3 Hairdresser and Lecturer in both Ladies` and Mens` Hairdressing, Barbering, Beauty and Therapy.
